The short version: we hold an email address and a handle, and we hold your letters in a form we cannot read.
The security page explains the mechanics properly. This page says what is collected and what is done with it.
What is collected
- Your email address — used to sign in, and never shown to another user.
- Your handle — public, by design. It is the address people write to.
- A password verifier — a value derived from your password in your browser, then hashed. Not your password, and not a value that can open your letters.
- Your sealed letters — ciphertext, and the dates around their delivery.
- Correspondence state — who is writing to whom, whether it is open, and whose turn it is. Not the content.
What is not collected
- No name, phone number, postal address or date of birth.
- No contact list, photo library, location or device identifiers.
- No advertising identifier, and no advertising or analytics SDK of any kind.
- No third-party scripts, pixels or embeds. Every request on a LoveLink page goes to LoveLink.
Why it is held
The email address exists so you can sign in and so we can tell you a letter has arrived on the moon it was due. The handle exists so someone can write to you. The sealed letters exist because a letter that is not stored cannot be delivered, and the whole service is the delivery. The dates exist because they are the mechanism.
Who can see it
Nobody outside Aerial Giant Inc., and inside it nobody can read a letter. We do not sell or share anything, because there is nothing here worth selling and because the letters are unreadable to us in the first place.
How long it is kept
Letters are kept for as long as the account, since the correspondence is the point. A closed correspondence keeps its letters unless you ask for them to be removed. Delete your account and the letters go with it.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. A copy will contain your email address, your handle and your letters as ciphertext — because ciphertext is what we have. Write to privacy@aerialgiant.com.
Children
LoveLink is not intended for anyone under 18, and the terms say so.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Aerial Giant Inc. is the data controller for LoveLink.
